If the item you purchased isn't working properly the first think you should do is REPLACE the battery, that is the #1 Cause of a defective item, next thing you should do is make sure the device isn't next to anything that would mess with sensors and or magnetic fields, for example phones, printers, AC Units, etc. all of those things could be causing your issue, specifically the Music boxes use ultrasonic sensors so if there is too many reflections or it is pointed at a window or fabric, rugs, etc. all of these things can cause an issue with the sensors. If the issue persists, contact us and ask for an exchange!
